This course was very Informative. Jane was excellent.
I thought the tutor was very good, she spoke clearly and provided a large depth of knowledge around the topic of Safeguarding, with an ability to answer all the questions put forwards during the session. The mix of information and group discussion was well balanced and the sizes of the groups (four per group) was suitable for peer discussion. The number of different practical discussions meant that everyone had to engage at least once during the session which over Zoom is probably necessary to ensure constant interaction.

Jane our tutor was fantastic. Super easy to talk to and really insightful. A range of different and difficult conversations that she handled with ease. Brilliant.
Tutor showed a passion for the subject and gave clear explanations regarding the difference between safeguarding and child protection. She was very approachable and was open to difference in opinions by asking open ended questions which helped the course flow and provided us, as learners, with tasks to help our brain work. The course gave me a clear insight into how we, as trusted adults, always need to keep the child in our care at the forefront of everything we do.
Very worthwhile course. Safeguarding has to be paramount within our club.

I’ve sat through many safeguarding courses in my time and in all honesty was a bit sceptical about doing another one. But that was one of the best I’ve been in. Did not feel like three hours and was really interesting. Well played.
Course was very informative, the tutor had excellent communication skills which enabled the participants to take in all the information that was needed to gain an understanding of safeguarding.

It was really useful to complete the refresher due to the changes within the safeguarding procedures in Wales. It was also very useful to have the school-to-school discussions and listen to some excellent examples of good practice.
It was really useful for Jane to highlight the key changes as a result of new legislation.
It is great to have all the ‘must do’ tasks for the DSP to be highlighted as it’s so easy to miss important information with many DSPs being headteachers.
A revision of information, it is such a complex topic area that it is so helpful to be reminded of the important aspects.

The importance of embedding safeguarding into the curriculum. This is something that as a school I feel we do very well and it was good to have confirmation that this is the case.

Great course, it was a very good atmosphere to be open and share thoughts.
Given that the course was delivered online I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy as much, however thoroughly enjoyed and felt it was delivered very well, the tutor was very professional and knowledgeable and it was good that there was chances for discussion.
I thought the course was relevant, useful and well delivered. Participation was encouraged and helped to build a shared learning experience for all concerned.

Even though I did the course in the early hours of the morning due to being abroad in Asia, the content and delivery kept me interested throughout.

The course was very good and made you think a lot about every child’s welfare.
Jane delivered very clearly and made it very easy to learn. New to this as a senior football player trying to learn about coaching children.

This course more than met my expectations, it was very informative, the presentation was style was perfect, giving us the chance to ask questions, talk about real life experiences and share good practice with each other.
