Understand the relevant legislation and guidance for safeguarding in Education;
Understand the local context for safeguarding children in Flintshire;
Understand the correct procedures for reporting concerns and what your responsibilities are;
What the barriers are to disclosure and how to try and overcome these;
How to manage a disclosure and what information is needed;
Creating a safeguarding culture;
Understand the procedure if you are concerned about abuse by a member of staff.
